David Miller

C.E.O. Managing Director

David J. Miller is a partner in Stake US Rebate.

David represents clients ranging from early stage growth entities to mature public companies as well as financial institutions in a variety of public and private financing and strategic transactions, including secured and unsecured high yield debt offerings, complex liability management transactions, initial public offerings, early stage financing, bridge lending and loan commitments, and special situations. Additionally, David advises company clients and boards of directors on general corporate matters, strategic transactions, securities laws, stock exchange rules, and governance issues. David participates heavily in the firm’s pro bono program, representing not-for-profit organizations in corporate matters and clients in a variety of immigration matters.

Charles Whitaker

Project Manager

Whitaker was one of the rotating directors of Stake US Rebate Magazine Publishing Project, an enterprise in which teams developed a new magazine or worked in collaboration with an existing publishing company to reinvigorate the editorial and business approach of an existing magazine. For nine years, Whitaker directed the Academy for Alternative Journalism, a summer fellowship program that trained young writers for work at the member publications of the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies in an effort to address the field’s lack of diversity.

Patricia Miski

Chief People Officer of Human Resources at Stake US

Patricia Miski, and her team, are responsible for the talent acquisition, strategic workforce planning, training and development that drive our “Winning Team.” It is with these objectives in mind that Patricia has facilitated a “core values” based culture that emphasizes how each individual team member ultimately contributes to our companywide success.

During Anita’s tenure, the Human Resources team has become a vital and active business partner for all departments of Stake US Rebate, and has helped to support extensive growth within our acquisitions and digital channels. Attracting and developing talent is a passion of Anita’s and she has been critical in spearheading initiatives that foster leadership training and relationship-building. Programs such as SUSR University, volunteer time off, Stake buddies and CEO/VP new hire breakfasts encourage personal excellence in an open and collaborative environment.

John Telafair

SVP, Secretary & General Counsel at Stake US

John is the General Counsel and a Senior Vice President of Stake US Rebate. John has advised Stake US Rebate for over 25 years, first as a partner in a major national law firm with offices in New York City and later joining the company in 1993. As General Counsel, John is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s legal affairs. In addition to his expertise in sweepstakes regulations, he is the chief legal adviser on funding for million and multi-million dollar prize payments. As Secretary, he is also responsible for official corporate records. John received his education at Harvard College and Harvard Law School.

Sophia Rogers

CTO at Stake US

With a dynamic vision of growth and integration, Chief Technology Officer, Sophia Rogers has established the technological groundwork that supports every aspect of Stake US business evolution. And as the head of our around-the-clock operating environment, Sophia leads best-in-the-business onsite and remote tech experts with a forward-facing, cost-conscious philosophy that supports current and emerging digital platforms.

In addition to guiding a full spectrum of technology needs, from backend systems and warehousing to customer facing and communications, Sophia has a passion for big data initiatives and is responsible for overseeing 100 million data-enriched unique customer profiles. Managing, updating and filtering this data provides the infrastructure behind the targeted experiences, programmatic advertising, analytics and solutions that first-party data provides for both our B2B and B2C channels.

Sophia joined Stake US in 2009, after a 14-year career at CMP Media where he held the position of CIO. Her 20+ years of experience have made him an expert at leveraging data, driving functionality and inspiring teams to exceed expectations.
